Clinique Star Tour 2010

Some time ago back in mid July, three girls (Myself, Steph and Mei San) decided to go for something out of our daily norm - trying out for the CLEO Cover Girl Search organized by CLEO itself in partnership with Clinique. I personally didn't expect myself to be on the cover page but I was going after the free door gift that Clinique was giving away and personal potrait shot that I have always wanted. Vain, I know :P Since paying RM30 entitles me a close up shot and free gifts, apaaaaaa laggiiiii!! Weeeeeheeee.....

Filling up the forms
We three girls berjaya tarik Carol to join the fun too!! :)

 Carol waiting for her turn

Us girls waiting for our the make up artist from Clinique after getting our faces cleaned

Steph getting her makeup done

Me getting my hair done.

And the following pictures random shots of the day after the make over.

The organizers are now picking the top three winners for the cover page out of the many many many girls who took part in search nationwide. Steph made it to the top 25 and I AM PROUD OF YOU!!! :D Told ya your picture was amazingly gorgeous :) :) :) I didn't like my picture though. Sob Sob. Oh well, it was still one great experience to be participating though... Heeeee :D

Check out the official website here for more details. Results will be out soon: 27th August 2010. The organizer is giving away laptop for whoever who guesses the winner of the contest right. So, head right over there and go pick your winners already. You might just walk away with a brand new lappy! :) And again, CONGRATS Steph!! You totally deserve it :)

Bubba Bubble Pearl Milky Tea

Received an email this morning and this email sucks! :( :( Sob sob sob sob sob!!! The email sounds like this:

Dear All,
The article in Chinese has been roughly translated into English......

Bubble tea (or "pearl milk tea" 珍珠奶茶,originated from Taiwan) brings alot of sweet excitement to our taste buds but it is also very harmful to health.

Milk essence is the main ingredient in bubble tea. Ten cups of fresh milk cannot match the taste of a teaspoon of milk essenceThe main ingredient of milk essence is hydrogenated vegetable oil, a type of trans-fat.

Experts says that a glass of 500ml of bubble tea a day far exceed the allowable limit of trans-fat for any person.  It will lead to heart  and blood vessel diseases.
Milk essence gives the bubble tea the fragrance and makes it tasty.

The fragrance and tastiness derived from a type of chemical. This chemical has
traces of arsenic, lead, copper and many harmful minerals.  Long term consumption can lead to heart and blood vessel disease, cancer, asthma and other health complications.  It reduces the IQ of children.

Consuming the black bubbles is equivalent to consuming plastic. Normally these bubbles were made from cassava (tapioca) powder. This alone does not give the rubbery texture. To make it more rubbery, millet protein is added.

Some "black hearted" businessmen felt that this is still not rubbery enough. So, an artificial plastic powder is added.  This type of artificial plastic material will never be digested and absorbed into the body.  It will remain in  the body and cause havoc to our health.  You can imagine what will happen to your health after prolonged consumption of trans-fat and plastic!!!!

I don't know how true is this email but THERE GOES MY FAVOURITE DRINK!! WWWaaarrrrgghhhh..... it's so effing yummy :(
