Happy New Year 2011

I hope I am not too late to wish you all Happy New Year 2011! ;)

I know I am slightly overdue for the wishes but it is the thought the counts right? I am back in uni for my final semester of my master degree study. I just came back from my first class of the year/semester. Class started way back last week when I was still enjoying my sweet chamber back home. I know I have abandoned this blog ever since I am back home but can you blame me? It's not that I don't love you guys to update regularly though :P Here are some one the snapshots of my whole stay back at home.

#1 Baked traditional chocolate cake which turned out to be pretty good though we were all doubtful initially :D

#2 Had a Pre Christmas celebration with them cousins ;)Much love!!

#3 Spent some time with them besties frenzies

#4 One of the festives I love the most! Nothing beats the feeling of having your whole family gathered round the Christmas tree. Yes, I got a BIG family! Even this is not a complete one! And I am proud of this! :D

#5 The ten minutes away from home beach which I will never get sick of <3

#6 A romantic scene I spotted when I was at the beach chugging down those jeruk down my throat (and ended with gastric pain!). Aawwww... I want someone to do this for me too!! >.<"

#7 It is no surprise that I gained weight when I am back home. Whoever can resist those YUMMY DELICIOUS food made with love? This lasagna made by bro upon my request taste as good as it looks! :D

#8 It was an awesome trip back home. I was on a flight with TV in the plane!!! Woot woot!! :D Sure kept me entertained throughout the flight! Glee!!! :D Woohooo!!!! I wouldn't dread flying so much if all my flights have this service without me paying a bomb for it! :D

I wish I had more time to do more things back home. Like meeting up with old friends from high school perhaps? Hopefully they will be around when I go back for Chinese New Year later. Ggggaaaa.....
I was not very fond of year 2010, I admit.  It was a very rough year with  many ups and downs. A little too much drama for me to handle over a year period. Big mess I tell you. It is all good now. I learned my lesson. Mourning period passed and I shall continue to walk forward for a better future ahead. For better or worse, some things have changed whether they happened over time or abruptly. I am truly glad for all the bitter sweet experiences I had throughout this one year. These blessings in disguise taught me many life lesson that I would have never picked up from any books. But mind you, things were not all bad. Happy moments took their places too ok!

Therefore, bye bye 2010! Hello to you 2011!
As for this brand new year of 2011, please be kind to me.

Happy New Year everyone. Wishing all of you a another good year ahead! Cheers!

Birthday Bashes

Hello peeeppsss!! How are you doing out there?? Good I hope! As for me, I have been in such a holiday mode since my last paper on Wednesday of last week. Been having fun throughout the rest of the week that I am so reluctant to get back to my books for my upcoming paper on the 8th. Ignorance is such a bliss! Heeee.. Anyway, Happy Deepavali to those who are celebrating! =)

As I mentioned in my earlier post of how I spend my birthday this year, I had celebrations before and after the actual day itself. Let the pictures speak for themselves ;)

#1 The very few out of the many who decided to continue to pursue their study at master level :)

#2 Would really love to have this glass :D
"I am not a shopaholic! I just love receipts!!!"

#3 Among the guests of the day :) Met up with two old friend from the degree years in uni  - ain't so long ago la, not so exactly that old! The one paling kiri one - Ling Fong who is the one of the girls always kena buli in class one. And now, she is a working lady now and we are still stuck with our books. LOL!

#4 French toast from Kim Gary Restaurant, Midvalley. The ever classic, sinful, all time favourite snack that completes the meal of the day :D You go to heaven and hell eating this!

#5 Another dish that I would wana give my thumbs up. Double cheesy baked rice served with salmon, scallop, baby octopus, and abalone. What more can you possibly ask for? I have be a vegan for a week after a meal of this:P

#6 Brenda opening her gift from her coursemate. Yay yay! ROFL~

#7 Group photo to wrap up the day!

#8 KTM train was empty when we were on or way back to the campus. APA lagi! No other better time to take pic in the train. On the other hand, why in heaven would I want pic in the train? Wakakaka..!!

#9 The gift beneath the colourful wrapping papers. THANK YOU very very much guys =')

#10 Do you see what's in the pic? Do you see it? Yes yes yes. SALMON! The best piece of salmon I ever had. Just purrfect!! My second celebration was a surprise from some friends at Sushi Zanmai ;) I don't think I need to elaborate much on how I love Japanese food esp the piece of thing in the picture below :D :D :D :D :D If you are wondering whether the surprise worked, it did! They told me it was the easiest surprise ever that they didn't need to give excuses for this and that. Haa!

#11 Lets look at the food first. I swear that Sushi Zanmai is way way WAY better than Sushi King. In terms of variety and creativity and freshness and etc, this place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for sushi lovers like me. I have always wanted to try out the food here and there is definitely no regrets coming here. I am a happy child! Weeeeee~~~ Err.... back to the picture, this one is soft shell crab rolled with rice and roe. Nyummyy!

#12 This 6 pcs of sushi roll if named Spider Roll where you have soft shell crab (if I am not mistaken) rolled with seaweed, rice and a little avocado on the top with some dressing and roe gives the perfect texture where it was creamy and yet..... undescribable. Go try it for yourself! Sedap gila!

#13 Rubern's chicken rice from a Japanese restaurant. I didn't have a taste of this. I wouldn't know what to comment on this. Heee~ But no way I am gonna order chicky meal from a Japanese restaurant. No offence please! :P

#14 Random shot of me and my new found shopping kaki neighbour, Mei San

#15 Me and mia amour

#16 Wishing hard ;) Oh, please come true!

#17 Group photo with the awesome people and the awesome eating place!

#18 Baskin Robins for desert. It was Wednesday a.k.a pink day! Weeeeee!!!!

#19 Whacky group photos :D

#20 The very very very thoughtful gift. A box of chocolates filled with compilation of birthday wishes from other friends. Thanks for the effort you put into making this. It means lots to me and I really really do appreciate you doing this :) Seriously, I was very very touched =') THANK YOUUUU!!! You know who you are :) *HUGS*

#21 The cards with birthday wishes written on them. Thank you to all who wrote in for the thoughtful wishes. Some messages in there just made me smile and some made me laugh like a mad woman! :D

#22 Hence, the last round of celebration with darling Allison :) Besties for years now. Had to turn her down when she asked me out during my birthday itself due to exam. Yes I am a nerd.

#23 Dinner at The Social of Changkat branch and the food was awesome. The one I tried la! :D First pic would be Chicken Diane :) :) The one underneath is Al's order but I am sorry  I didn't remember  as I prefer my food way better :P

#24 Moved to Twenty One in Changkat itself for a couple of cocktails during the happy hour. Cheers!

#25 Another friend joined us later on and she was hungry. So we went to Baan 26 for another round of food and drinks.

#26 Gorgeous gift from darling Allison <3 Thank you very much for spending your time and money on me though you are broke as hell financially tight now :) Appreciate em :) *hug*

#27 Indeed, it was a good weekend ;)

And again, thank you very much to each and everyone who made this birthday so meaningful :) I am truly blessed to know you guys :D :D Gotta admit, this year was better than last year thanks to each of you who play a role in this. May God bless you all! :) :)
*BIG HUG*

22 on the 22nd

And so, I am no longer 21.

Another year older, another year wiser. Reflecting back a year ago, many things happened throughout. Good things come out of the bad things that happened. Everything happened for a reason or more than just a reason. Of course, it was not entirely bad throughout the year ;) Being where I am right now, I would really have to thank God for the abundant blessings He showered. Things have been pretty rough before and I was at the downside for some time. Without the love and support of family and friends, I wouldn't be able to recover and feel the genuine happiness I had yesterday during my birthday.

I spent stuck in the room eating up my lecture notes studying for my upcoming exam next week. It was my decision to stay back despite the invitation for celebration with a very very dear friend. Seriously, it was not bad at all. It was really the thought that counts :) With this, I sincerely thank you all for all the wishes  from each one of you when the clock struck 12 midnight may it be a simple phone call or sms or merely those wishes on my facebook wall. Coursemates bought me gift and we went for a simple dinner on the eve of my birthday. I had one birthday wish from a friend that I have lost contact for some time and receiving that one wish somehow made me feel love. Another friend sent a simple text telling me that a facebook reminder is not needed to know that it's my birthday made me melt. Those thoughtfulness made my day better than I expected it to be.

Nuff said for now. Will get back to me books :) Will update later on the celebration to come after my two major exam papers next week :) Again, thank you again for reminding me that I am not just one insignificant creature living on planet earth ;) Till then, take care there and BIG HUGS AND KISSES from the yours truly ♥♥♥

Chinese New Year 2010

Hello! I am back in UKM already. Here is the post bout my Chinese New Year celebration last month. I know this is very very very de late. I am sorry. Was caught some with work and some other things. Minta maaf ya!

I went back on the 11th Feb, three days before CNY. There was nothing much to do until the eve of CNY itself. Like every other year, me and my family goes to the night market which is only available during the eve of CNY eve which sells all the foodies for the reunion dinner on CNY eve. Confusing? :P

The crowded night market at Foh Sang.

CNY EVE : 13 February 2010

Me and cousin Anna made the decoration for cousin Geraldine's 18th birthday cake. We bought two cakes, stack em' up and decorated them the whole afternoon. The outcome? Not bad okeh, go check my facebook! :P
Fooooooooooooodddddddddddd during reunion dinner.

Manicure and pedicure services in da house!! Dijamin puas hati! Free of charge okie :D

CNY (1st Day) : 14 Feb 2010

My brother "attending" CNY mass at Mary Immaculate :)

Me and bro in the car camwhoring while waiting dad to try his luck with lotto.
Went back to kampung that morning after breakfast. TRADITION. I spend my CNY here every year. And this one, warming up for camwhoring sessions with a few cousins.
The girls getting ready to look their best that day.

Ketam-ketam itu semestinya.

Group photo :) My cousins from my mum's side of the family.
Lunch of the day. FOOD.
Does this look familiar to you? This is the same dish that was served during the reunion dinner during CNY eve. A chinese (Hakka) delicacies named Kiu Nyuk" - pork and yam. Yummy ok!
Ever classic steamed chicken.
Stewed arrowheads with pork. The same dish served every year during CNY.
Dad's favourite. Don't know the name :P
Went to cousin's boyfriend's place somewhere far out which I couldn't remember the name of the place. Nice paddy field view as background :P

Gambling session that went on for the whole day.
Nothing significant bout this pic. I just like it :P

What is CNY without boom boom fire crackers and fire works? :P
CNY (2nd Day) : 15 Feb 2010

Another makan session at home and the boys are preparing the food. Chef, chef-to-be and potential chef.
Cousins
Decorations

Cars occupying the parking space at home.
My new addiction THIS YEAR.

CNY (3rd Day) : 16 Feb 2010

Day our with cousins at 1Borneo.
FIRST TIME any lion dances troupe reaches my house. And yes I am excited!
I enjoyed my CNY celebration this year. As a matter of fact, I didn't even remember it was Valentine's Day. My CNY mood overwhelmed my lovey dovey mood. Nonetheless, it was still great to get together with everyone though I didn't get any chocolate nor any bouquet of flowers *hint hint*. What bout yours? How was your CNY aka Valentine's Day celebration? I hope yours was as fantastic as mine. After all, I believe it is the company you have with you that matters more than anything else. All the makan-makan and laughter sessions, they were amazing. But without your love ones, they are pretty meaningless. Agree? :)
