22 on the 22nd

And so, I am no longer 21.

Another year older, another year wiser. Reflecting back a year ago, many things happened throughout. Good things come out of the bad things that happened. Everything happened for a reason or more than just a reason. Of course, it was not entirely bad throughout the year ;) Being where I am right now, I would really have to thank God for the abundant blessings He showered. Things have been pretty rough before and I was at the downside for some time. Without the love and support of family and friends, I wouldn't be able to recover and feel the genuine happiness I had yesterday during my birthday.

I spent stuck in the room eating up my lecture notes studying for my upcoming exam next week. It was my decision to stay back despite the invitation for celebration with a very very dear friend. Seriously, it was not bad at all. It was really the thought that counts :) With this, I sincerely thank you all for all the wishes  from each one of you when the clock struck 12 midnight may it be a simple phone call or sms or merely those wishes on my facebook wall. Coursemates bought me gift and we went for a simple dinner on the eve of my birthday. I had one birthday wish from a friend that I have lost contact for some time and receiving that one wish somehow made me feel love. Another friend sent a simple text telling me that a facebook reminder is not needed to know that it's my birthday made me melt. Those thoughtfulness made my day better than I expected it to be.

Nuff said for now. Will get back to me books :) Will update later on the celebration to come after my two major exam papers next week :) Again, thank you again for reminding me that I am not just one insignificant creature living on planet earth ;) Till then, take care there and BIG HUGS AND KISSES from the yours truly ♥♥♥

Raffles' Food

I was just browsing through the pictures taken during the trip in Singapore last December. Felt a sudden urge to post some pics of the food I had there. Looking at them makes me hungry now!!!@#$%^&* Anyhow, here are some of the favourites. EnjoY! :)

#1  Cantonese Seafood Crispy Noodle
Nothing extraordinary than the one we have in Malaysia here except that this has always been one of my all time favourite dish! :P

#2  Deep Fried Pork Intestine
I know some of you out there is not a big fan of innards due to the texture or smell or any others but this one is so crispy and fragrant that you wouldnt even know it was intestine! ;)

#3 Chicken Porridge
The crispy deep fried intestine was best served with porridge which was apparently really famous in the shop we were eating.

#4   The shop in Chinatown where we had all the food above.
Frog porridge seems to be the popular menu there as almost every table seems to be having it. It was said that frog taste like chicken. Teehee.. I had chicken porridge, nothing funky! :P

#5  Nyonya Laksa in Raffles' City Mall, Orchard Road
SSHEEEDAAAPP

#6  Another nyonya laksa from People's Park, Chinatown.
The soup is just so rich and wangi that I wouldn't mind having another bowl. Heee. Plus the meehoon is different from the one we have in Malaysia here.

#7  MOS Yakiniku Burger
A fast food franchise that I have not seen in Malaysia yet. Not in KL at least (or I might be out of date?) Instead of using bun, they used rich to sandwich those fillings. The taste was something interesting I would say but somehow it felt like eating dumpling. LOL.

#8  Hokkien Prawn Noodle in one of the mall's food court
My personal favourite dish in Singapore. Slrp!

#9  Another round of Hokkien Prawn Noodle in Vivo City Shopping Mall.
Take the train to Harbour Front station and you will arrive in the mall that has the food court that serves the best hokkien prawn noodle I have tasted in Singapore. This stall won many awards la from what I saw of the newspaper cutting pasted all over the stall.

#10  Fried Carrot Cake
Another yummy asian food that you can find in Malaysia here. I recommend the one with soy sauce better though. If you kena tanya whether you want them black or white, ask for black. KICAP! ;)

 #11  Fishhead Noodle Soup
The one stall that was filled with people queing up like mad served this one delicious meehoon soup that was truly satisfying. The soup was different from what they have in KK yet still earn a thumbs up from me. Location? I forgot! Sorry heeee... visited too many malls >.<"

#12  Bread and cereal
Again, nothing extraordinary. Heeee.. my breakfast every morning before heading out jalan-jalan. Peanut butter jeally toast and cereal was yummy too! Something light before hentaming the makanan yang gila banyak sedap out there.

I would like to conclude that most of the food in Singapore can be found back here in Malaysia. Asian food rocks!! Wooohooo!!~~ But I like the fact that food court in all the shopping malls I went to in Singapore serves more variety of food compared to what I see back in here. But more food equals to sakit kepala to decide on the food lah. Oh well, again I would like to say... ASIAN FOOD ROCKS! Don't you agree? :) *wink*
I am looking foward for next week. My favourite week is finally here. Come back to check out what am I talking bout if you don't already know. Heee..

On the side note, a BIG HEARTFUL CONGRATULATIONS to friends graduating this month. Enjoy your big day! Many many hugs and kisses ;)

Dear Non Asian People

Dear Non-Asian People,
1. We do not understand the words “ching chong”.

2. Not all Koreans make nuclear bombs or eat dogs.

3. Just cause you see an Asian person it doesn’t mean they’re Chinese, they could be Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino etc.

4. We are not all communists.

5. Asian girls with long black hair HATE being called The Grudge or the girl from The Ring8. Same goes for Asian guys and being called Grudge boy.

6. We don’t use THAT much M.S.G.

7. Don’t ask us to speak our language, we will when we feel like it.

8. We don’t know how to translate your name so stop asking cause most likely we can’t.

9. Don’t ask us to teach you curse words either.

10. Stop trying to pair up Asian guys and girls at your school and say they look cute together. Not all Asians belong together.

11. All Asian countries speak different languages.

12. Just because we’re Asian it doesn’t mean that we know karate, kung fu, tae kwon do etc. Even though we are probably capable of kicking your ass anyway.

13. Don’t say all Asian people look the same, that’s like saying all white people look the same, all African Americans look the same and all Hispanics look the same.

14. Surprise! Not all Asians are good at math.

15. Not all Asians are short.

16. Or skinny.

17. Just to let you know, it’s NOT funny when you tape your eyes up and start speaking gibberish. That just gives us another reason to kick your ass.

18. It’s ok for us to call each other F.O.B’s but if you call us one you’re asking for a beating.

19. Yeah we eat rice, and what? (( && not with soy sauce, -___- ))

20. Don’t fold your hands and bow at us like you know what you’re doing cause honestly you look like an idiot.

21. No…Yao Ming is not my uncle. <— (( but jet lee is and he will shove his foot up your ass ))

22. Chopsticks are the perfect utensil and the easiest to wash.

22. People from India are Asians too.
(( feel free to add on - && i know that not all of you non-asian people think like this, but be honest here, a lot of you fools do

23. Eating w/ spoon and fork is not barbaric. YOU try eating rice with a fork for the rest of your life.

Too good not to shared! :P Hope you enjoyed that ;)

When September Ends

September month seems to be passing by a little too fast I feel. Yesterday seems like the beginning of the month and it is the end of the month already today. It feels THAT short! Perhaps the reason behind this feeling came from those continuous exams and assignments. I had my two weeks worth of holiday break due to raya celebration but datelines all due right after the holiday. All lined up, one after another. That calls for work during holiday -.- Nope, the line has not ended. Still have exam and assignment and presentation waiting. RaaawwrrRR. As they said, student's life will always be the best. So, let me "ENJOY" the excitement and fun (NOT) while at it. Nuff said. Here are just some shots throughout the whole month. A bit here and there :)

The loyal transporter throughout the weeks without buses in the campus! Thank you very much to the owner Nad :) for lending this to the rider, Bridget. Nope, I don't have license to bring a bike cuz I can't even ride bicycle.*Covering face in embarrassment*

Those pretty lanterns for celebrating Mooncake/Lantern/Mid Autumn Festival - whichever name you call it by! :P I miss those kiddy days where we cousins gather and main tanglung together :)

Camwhoring while waiting for food to arrive

It was not as bad as it smells but I think once is enough for me :P I was a stinky skunk after eating this piece of thing. Worth trying :)
Signature dish of the forgotten restaurant in Times Square

Prawn salad from the forgotten restaurant's name. Soli soli geng!
